Natural foods trade publication Whole Foods Magazine has named PROBAR the “Best Nutrition Bar for 2009” for the second consecutive year. The honor is chosen by readers, retail store executives, buyers, and others.

PROBAR beat out numerous competitors in taking the annual award, which was officially presented at the Natural Products Expo East trade show in Boston last week. The recipient of this reader-selected honor, based on retail sales and popularity, indicates that PROBAR won because it’s the complete package, a retailer’s dream: It’s healthy, it tastes great, and, most importantly, it practically sells itself.
